When employed, an offender is less likely to return to jail. Helping Hands International mission is to be a part of shaping into a reality, the vision of all ex-convicted individuals turning themselves into self-sufficient, productive members of the society. The organization provides direct service to delinquent, emotionally disturbed, socially maladjusted, victimized or exceptional human beings increasing their opportunities for success as they transition to the community.

Job development & vocational counseling

Helping Hands International combines job development and vocational counseling. Intensive and thorough screening by certified career development facilitators ensures an appropriate job referral. Courses prepare job seekers for the nuances and rigors of the modern work world. Bonding of up to $5,000 is available through the federal bonding program. Bonds provide insurance guaranteeing job honesty at no cost to employer.

Other transitional services
Helping Hands International continually recruits area employers as stakeholders and partners in the workforce development system. Job counselors work to meet the needs of the employer, employee and the community to ensure successful work-life adjustment.

Helping Hands International also provides a One-Stop and Online delivery system that simplifies access to workforce-related services. Workforce-related services are designed to accomplish many things, including:

Receiving the right tools to re-enter the workforce, or building skills for advancement within a current job

Providing assistance in emergency situations with access to food stamps, medical insurance assistance, or emergency food or living assistance

Proving resources that allow employees and employers alike to position themselves to be more successful.
